Blondey's visit to Shine Merton in 2023, originally to introduce children to skateboarding, sparked a creative collaboration with skateboarder-artist Mark Gonzales. Shine’s young artists were given Mark’s drawings to customise with 40 submissions sent to Blondey in spring 2024. Eight were selected to be transformed into limited-edition silk scarves, sold exclusively through his label, Thames. A special box set, signed by Mark, was auctioned on the Thames website, with 50% of proceeds benefiting Shine Merton.

Blondey returned with his Thames skateboard crew to personally present the chosen children with their scarves - one-of-a-kind pieces, not yet in production. The project brought inspiration, creativity and an unforgettable experience to Shine Merton’s young artists.
