Peer mentors from Shine were invited by Preloved Studio at Cannon’s House to take part in a creative workshop making tote bags from scrap materials. The session was designed as an educational experience, introducing Shine students to upcycling and teaching them how to use a sewing machine.

For many of the students, this was their first time using a sewing machine, making it a valuable opportunity to learn a new practical skill while exploring sustainable making practices.

The workshop was kindly hosted by Natalie and Diana from Preloved Studio. We were also joined by special guests Edie Ashley and Joel Kerr.
